Private Eye is a Windows application which enables users to learn what information is stored on their computers. It gives full control over the information by allowing the user to monitor anything stored on their computer and put it in a “protected storage” area.
The program is good at making the information invisible to undesired guests while this information is in the protection storage. The data contained in this area will be monitored and reported in terms of whether some private info like passwords, accounts or personal data is leaking or being stored on the computer, even if temporarily. Private Eye allows users to remove all traces of their Internet activity easily by selecting the entries and deleting them. Its interface, though simple, is not intuitive or self-explanatory at all. It looks like the typical Explorer window, from where all actions can be made, and has no options at all.
The program is available in Free and Registered versions; the registered version has no protection coverage limitation and allows deleting data entries from the protected storage. The program only works in Windows 7, Vista, XP and 2000.
